Pom Pom Snowman Christmas Decoration

Our Christmas tree is that much more special and classy (hmmm?) with the latest addition - our Christmas Pom Pom Snowman (with the wierd red eyes).Of course while making dinner Nic drank the last of the milk then wanted to wash the bottle out and make something with it.

While he washed is more than necessary I devised a plan to use the plastic to make pom pom templates. I got wool from the vest that I was knitting years ago (then when I dropped a stitch and couldn't work out how to fix it gave up). From the colour you can also see that it was an interesting choice of colour for a vest as well.If you don't know how to make pom poms there are heaps of tutorials on youtube.com.

So there we were while the pizzas were cooking twirling pom poms. I did the big one, Nic the middle and Millie the head, what a team! They are not of the most secure construction but for a tree is it ok (life on a beanie wouldn't have lasted long). The arms are cardboard from the youghurt packet and the eyes from the stationary (I might fix the eyes later when not pressed for time).

So there you have it. Instead of watching TV we came up with a lovely (yet slightly creepy) Christmas decoration.
Until tomorrow...
